teach me how to wrap

I pray to the gods of all things Afrocentric, style and everything fab that I can be able to master the art of the head wrap. My skills are lacking and I keep wrapping my hair in the most basic styles. I feel its about time that I learn the ish, that kind of head wrap that's scared of nothing. This is not FOMO.I will make it my life's mission really. 

These 3 are my attempts at the wrap. Its nothing fancy but, I really pride myself on them. Well ok, in all honesty these are the times were I just got it ok or something close to what I initially wanted.

To show how serious I am , I have taken to the University Of Everything ( The Internet) and downloaded some tutorials to aid me,from the gurus of the art. I will take some time and try them out. I am on a mission and I am not backing down. 

I also want these cool head wraps thou. So that will also go on my wish list. If you love me or wanna do something for charity, do buy me bold printed wraps. with all the love ....

hair things

The love hate relationship between me and my hair is crazy. One minute I love it and wanna show it off and the next minute I want it in box braids because I really cant deal with it. I guess I'm emotionally attached to it , in all honesty I'm emotionally attached to anything.. anywayyyyyyy. I have been growing the afro for the past year and a few months. I am happy with how its taking shape now. Its at a point where I can do more with it so, I have decided to take a break from braids for a month and see how much fun I can have with it.

I guess if I was not this lazy and like those natural hair enthusiast I would have the perfect afro. Who knows, I would have a hair blog and some sponsors.

Will post again soon about this hair challenge.. keeping in mind I colored my hair recently and it came out black instead of burgundy.. story for another day.

I have a friend who takes pretty cool pictures of me, ok before I get carried away ,she basically takes cool pictures everyone and everything.

My Basaar experience

So here's the thing, I have been walking past this place for like forever and today I finally made my way into this eatery.pluse they were closed for some bit during December. It is on 16 loop street in the CBD and well worth the drop in. They open Monday to Friday 7am-4pm

 

Besides the cool deco it has a pretty chilled ambiance about it. Nothing pretentious, just a good old fashioned vibe, good food and yes free WIFI ,hahahaha I'm looking out for you fellow wifi stalkers. 

 

 

They make a lovely red velvet cake. I couldn't say no hey..

 

Oh one more thing, the servic is pretty cool and they don't constantly hover over you. You are left to enjoy the a sizing food, ambiance and free wifi in peace. The smiles are good too lol. 

 

Aaaw and they have this for you to take home..... Will I be back? Yes I will be, the is more I wanna try out on the menue. This will be my new hide out in the city. Do invite me ;)
